This was an exercise done in class as an introduction to mapping.
This first map was Beyoncé in London was created as an example of a quick map which can be pulled together for a breaking news story using Google’s Maps Engine, pinpoints can be added to the map, and even your own correctly formatted PNG files. Maps Engine also allows you to look at the data associated with the map, the file can also be exported as XML or XMP and altered in spreadsheets.
This second map was created in Google Fusion using data collected in the first week based on a survey sent to students. The survey was collected in a sheet and then imported into Google Fusion.
This final example of a Google Fusion’s merging capability taking some local election results and merging them with Ward Boundary Data in another Google Fusion Table.
